Gâteau Lorrain (Cake from Lorraine)

This cake is a speciality from the region of Lorraine in the East of France and it was actually the first time I tried it. The cake is quite light so I find it well balanced with the cream inside. Made with a 28cm cake pan.

Just a few photographs of Paris I wanted to share with you. I took the first one in September and the other two were taken a while back, but I still love them ; I think it was the first time I was actually proud of the shots I captured. Those are from the Jardin des Tuileries in the first arrondissement of Paris. During summer there’s a funfair that takes place in the Tuileries so it’s very crowded, but it’s a beautiful garden in Paris where you can grab a green chair and a book and stay put for hours….

North-West

At the end of August, I went to the North West of France in the region of Brittany (Bretagne, in French) with my family for some quiet days away from Paris (you may have seen a picture or two on Instagram). I hadn’t been to Brittany since I was a kid and it was a refreshment to spend time in this region again. The weather wasn’t really nice with us (you can never know with the north-west of France) but it made the whole thing very typical after all.
