What’s a long weekend without a little dose of baking, heh? To slow down your chocolate intake, help yourself with a portion of my favorite apple crumble. It’s sweet but except for the crumble itself, it’s a pretty light dessert so you can easily indulge without too much remorse. Plus, it’s super simple to do, do you need any more reasons? ;-)
- 6 apples
- 150g flour
- 120g butter
- 120g brown sugar
- Cut the butter into small cubes and let it soften to room temperature in a bowl. Add the flour + sugar and blend with the tips of your hands until you get a sandy pastry. Set aside.
- Peel your apples, cut them into tiny cubes and store them in a (previously buttered) pan. I like to make mine in individual ramekins, but you can do as you like. If you’re a fan of cinnamon, now is the time to sprinkle your apples with it!
- Spread the pastry homogeneously on top of the apples and put in the oven for about 40 minutes at 150°C. Serve while it’s warm.
Will you give this a go? I'd love to hear about it!
