Guys, weeks have been mad lately! My days have been pretty tiring but it’s for a good cause and I hope it all works out for the best. Sometimes you have to give your best to end up where you want to be in life so that’s what I’m doing! On top of that, I’ve just caught a bit of a cold so I’m writing this post last minute and I’m sure it won’t be as lengthy as I would have liked but it’s still a topic I love and of course I want to share this with you!
No, it’s not another gift guide, and while this time of year usually rhymes with shopping, I’m not writing this to tell you what you have to buy! Just a good old inspiration post, because I’ve been lusting after a few items for a while.
In terms of clothes, I’m basically a knit and jeans kind of girl. My mom knows that I’m forever drawn to big cream or grey jumpers, how original. I like comfort more than anything in clothes and if I feel like something is going to be itchy or misplaced on my body, I just don’t go for it anymore, as pretty as it may be. That being said, I like good basics that have some kind of an unexpected detail that makes them a tad more special.
& Other Stories is my place of choice for shopping. It’s not too expensive and some items are exactly my style. I’m not into the glittery sweaters, god no, but that Wool Blend Checked Blazer for example is a beautiful piece I’m dying to try on. Also from them, this Merino Wool Sweater is very much out of my comfort zone as I don’t own anything from the red palette, but there’s something that is making me lust after it! That Frill Wrap Dress is lovely with black tights and ankle boots, and the décolletage is very flattering.
I’ve never set foot into The Frankie Shop (it’s a store based in both Paris and NYC) but their vintage take on clothes on their website has me swooning. I like this Ivory Mock Neck Sweater that looks so cozy and minimalist. I really need a roll-neck sweater in my wardrobe but I don’t like the ones that are too tight on the neck so this one seems perfect.
Selected is also a brand I like and the most comforting knit you’ll find might just be this one as it’s so big. Massimo Dutti also seem to have a great collection of knits at the moment, especially cashmere, and this cashemere cardigan and this wool jumper are right up my street.
I’m also on the hunt for a pair of boots that are coming a bit higher on the leg than the ankle (does that make sense?) from a soft leather material, but the only ones I’ve found that I like are from Acne and there’s no way for me to spend that much money on shoes!
What are your key pieces in winter?
