If I had to describe 2016, I would say that it was pretty eventful for me. From mid-January when I signed the deal for my flat to May when I moved out of my parents’, the first semester of this year was over in a flash. It was all very stressful to take the leap of ownership and the necessary time for the flat to have a « little » makeover before I could move in was spent in a state of anxiety but excitement nonetheless.
I needed a big push to get out of my comfort zone and it’s definitely something I don’t regret for a minute. It’s certainly allowed me to grow personally and taught me to start relying on myself, even for the tedious and scary tasks.
Some of my social relationships suffered a little while other thrived. Two of my friends also bought their first home and one of them even got married. I got asked to be maid of honor and it brought me so much joy to be a part of my friend’s happiness. I also got closer to awesome people I met online and through this blog and for that I’m very glad it exists.
There has been highs and lows professionally but overall it’s been a good year. I’ve reached another point where I think I need to maybe start another adventure to feel complete in my job, but I’ll leave this to the new year to decide.
I’m very grateful for everything that 2016 brought me. Every source of joy, every lesson, everything. I don’t have any hopes or expectations particularly for 2017 but I hope it comes with (good) surprises. I wish you all the very best for this new chapter in your life, for you and your loved ones to always be safe and sound and that each day brings you closer to fulfilling your dreams, whatever they are.
Much love x
PS: To welcome the new year, the blog got revamped! Hope you’ll enjoy the new design as much as I do and don’t hesitate to reach out if something needs fixing. I know everything isn’t perfect just yet, I’m still reorganizing articles as I go!
