A few months back I was telling you all about my flat renovation project. I can’t believe it’s already been 3 months since I moved into my little home but it’s no secret that time flies. I’m slowly adding new fixtures to each room and especially making it cosier and welcoming by decorating a bit more.
That’s why after a tour of my living room, let me introduce you to the bathroom! The room is a small square of 4m2 but we’ve designed it so it’s fully functional. The cabinet allows me to store all of my makeup, nail polishes, hair stuff and towels while I have built-in storage that surrounds the door and holds my skincare (the part that’s not on display at least), my hair dryer, toilet paper and cleaning products.
Above the toilet, we’ve put up a glass wall so the light coming from the large window can fill the kitchen as well (as it’s an open kitchen, with no window). The borders of said glass are a dark grey (almost black) aluminium that goes well with the mirror (from brand Pomax) and light sconce (that was a bargain found on Amazon). I’ve added some plants to the top of the wall so you can see them from the kitchen as well.
I’ve also found the perfect white roller blinds (shown in the fifth photo) that don’t obstruct the light but are still opaque enough (thankfully). I chose white marble accessories from Habitat and Marks and Spencer because obviously, that seemed best with white tiles and a dark grey floor! I’ve also found a light grey bath mat from Zara Home that pops up against the dark floor. The wood of the cabinet ups the temperature otherwise a bit cold while the minty blue paint feels relaxing enough in my opinion.
I’m quite happy with the result and I think it’s probably the first room to be entirely done!
