Current Makeup Routine

Lately I’ve been trying new things make-up wise, new products and combinations, and found myself rediscovering a few of them. I thought I’d share what works for me at the moment and the products I like to wear.

Base

I bought that primer from Laura Mercier a while ago after reading Pretty Honest, and at first it didn’t appeal to me very much. Then enters the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation, bought in London earlier this year, which I absolutely love wearing as it is so lightweight and dewy.

When I thought I’d given up much hope on the LM primer (but still willing to finish it so it doesn’t go to waste), I decided to try using it with this particular foundation, and well I was surprised but these two together do work like a charm.

The Clarins concealer helps me cover any redness and I find it is very illuminating at the same time so I think it’s a good one.

Then I lightly dust a layer of powder from Chanel (that seem to never end), and for a bit of warmth, I use the Solar Powder with a light hand. For blush I’ve been reaching for my Hourglass Diffused Heat blusher much more than ever and I think it does a really good job at giving a nice flush and highlighting at the same time.

Eyes

I’ve only got this palette for a week now, but I must announce that these eyeshadows are my FIRST EVER products from MAC. It was about time, right? I got a nice little participation from Sephora for my birthday and it made concocting my palette much more affordable. In the end I went for Naked Lunch, Satin Taupe, Haux, and Embark.

My everyday stroke of eyeliner is still hanging there thanks to the wonderful Supercat liner and I picked up the Benefit Roller Lash mascara not so long ago. I’ve been really impressed with this one as it’s a bit cheaper than Chanel and doesn’t clump at all. I like the effect it gives as it doesn’t go unnoticed and really elongates the lashes.

Brows & Lips

For brows I picked up the Bobbi Brown Natural Brow Shaper in Mohagany last week and it’s totally amazing as it really makes the brows fuller. For a subtle touch of pink on my lips, I’m still digging the Chanel Rouge Coco in Légende that I bought at the airport this Summer.
